~ Collateral ~

For my leaflet I wanted to use a clever play on the imigery and some folding techniques that I played around with to make something provocative and memorable.

This is the final leaflet design; I used a colon as the 'eyes' for the design so when folded it looks like a bearded man and when opened up the full image becomes clear. It's short, snappy and bound to grab attention. It will be printed on the same stock (Colour plan candy pink) as the cover of the zine.

This are some basic mock ups of the website that will run alongside the campaign giving people all the information they need to know about its purpose/concept. It will also give people the opportunity to buy 'promotional packs' including t-shirts, underwear, posters and the zine.

The website will work on a basic scroll across system and each image will link you to the relevant artist who produced each work of art featured. The brands typefaces and colours have been used also to keep everything consistent and recognisable.

For the purpose of the overall brand, zine and general promotional material I illustrated some natural womens figures; as images like this are quite rare and difficult to find. As part of the overall promotion of the va-january campaign itself the t-shirts would be sold; the profits of which could then go into web development, producing more free leaflet and possible talks from influential feminist thinkers/artists.

Also using the simple hair pattern I created I would produce underwear with this pattern screen printed onto them as further promotion of the cause. The idea behind this merchandise is people could photograph themselves wearing them and share via social media which would further the campaign's overall public reach.

Within my zine I want to bind in a two sided poster that can be removed and hung as part of the package. These are my designs for the poster; boasting the simplicity and bold elements of the campaign. The promotional hashtag has been used on one side and the tagline "bring back body hair" on the other. These will be printed at A3 size, folded and bound within the middle section of the zine for ease of removal.

Lastly I produced a gif using the brand identity title typeface and some of the brush pen illustrated hairs. The gif could be used for web presence and online promotion via social media.
